Iris and Pupil Segmentation Dataset

The ITEC Iris and Pupil Segmentation Dataset consists of 82 frames from 35 cataract surgery videos, annotated with areas of iris and pupil. Corresponding paper presented at ISBI 2020 workshop "Deep Learning for Biomedical Image Reconstruction" (if you use our dataset, please cite this paper).

Cataract Surgery

Cataract surgery is one of the most frequently performed microscopic surgeries in the field of ophthalmology. The goal behind this kind of surgery is to replace the human eye lens with an artificial one, an intervention that is often required due to aging. The entire surgery is performed under microscopy, but co-mounted cameras allow to record and archive the procedure.

The videos collected in this dataset were recorded at Klinikum Klagenfurt (Austria) in 2017-2018 years. They all were recorded with the following parameters:
